Moving to New Challenges!

I have been living in the small town of Crystal Falls, MI, in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan for the last 2 1/2 years. I have loved the fantastic nature, having traveled to many of the famous falls and state parks including the marvelous Mackinac Island with my friend Pat. While I was able to do some classes, presentations and workshops when I first arrived regarding my Move Past Your Past book and other topics, the numbers have dwindled with such small populations in the area.

I had the pleasure of meeting and working with some really wonderful people with my small job at City, being on the Library Board and also heading up the recycling program for the City. They have overwhelmed me by giving me some great parties, dinners and lunches as part of my farewell – as well as some great gifts to remember them all by.

At the same time, with the past winter being so extensive with so much snow, my son in Dallas has had a concern for me driving my small car when there are so few towns around. Therefore, I’m moving this week to northeast Dallas to be closer to him, and also to a larger population that I might reach out to in many ways. Happily, when visiting him this past Memorial wknd, I had an interview with a community college, and was hired to do my Memoir Writing classes – actually at several different times to accommodate more people! I also found a wonderful 2 bedroom apartment in a nearby town that has some great facilities for activities including a pool and fitness center.

Thus, I am now practicing what I’ve been preaching about taking on challenges, and hoping to find many new people that I may influence into their empowerment!

Many Blessings to All and my regular blog should be back by July 10th or sooner!
