Courage to Change

This is the year of more community. It is a major shift, not just for a New Year, the old ways of doing things are on their way out. See the changes world-wide going on. We must work together, not against each other. As for your personal world, don’t always be alone, get out – be with others – especially of like-mind. Life is truly for living, so get out and do some. It is not just about hearth-home, but of health and love. Even when it is cold out, or snow on the ground – get out and move to get some fresh air.

Experience the new, or see how something old has changed; talk to people, especially strangers – those also out experiencing life. Connect to others on the outside so you can internalize the changes on your inside. Think about what you see and how you feel about it all. These little changes can lead to your big changes – it is all about small steps that make change easier. Change is always a challenge, but small steps make it easier. We are all connected, and our energies are also interconnected. Even when bad or difficult life things happen, you must keep moving forward.

Never forget that we are not the only sentient beings with feeling, senses and energies – ALL living things have these awarenesses. Be responsible for treating all plants and animals as you would treat a friend. As you change, you will also naturally release those old negative ideas and beliefs. And, if you don’t do it, you will be bogged down and will no longer be able to change. Work at releasing all of your negative energies, it will release any thoughts or feelings of depression or helplessness. When you deep breathe for a minute or so, your attention and awareness comes forth enough to stop, and get your body grounded and centered to really see and hear what you need to be open. Try it, you might like it!

When you work at becoming an active part of the web of life, your life will become more alive in all that you do. Do be kind to yourSelf. Make 2013 a year that you will be kinder to You and those around you. Seeing the light in others, helps them to see it in themselves. Be that example of kindness. As you grow and change, don’t get angry for not doing more or doing it sooner. Now, is as good a time as any to change. What happened yesterday is the past, so move past it and let it all go. Be strong and brave in our new changing world – be an active part of it to make it even better.  An indulgence is not supposed to be something you do every day, so savor the moment that you do take to enjoy it. Television can be a wonderful companion and even an educator, but don’t let it harness you into a routine that you think you can’t break – that is what reruns are for! Life is truly a gift every day, enjoy it thoroughly.
