The Change Process – 3 of 3 Move Past Your Past © 2009

Part 3 from Part 50 of my book. I was recently asked to sum up my book here.

With the release of fear, and its other cohorts of negative beliefs, you can live more from your inner inspiration to do what brings you joy, which brings creativity into your life. You feel relaxed and happy without the need to control or mold the flow of your life. This is living with full trust in what life and freedom will bring to you. Now, when you give or do things for others, it is no longer an unconscious call for attention, love and recognition from the receiver of the gift. Kindness expects no rewards, as you are no longer hiding from yourself. While you don’t need to do things anonymously, there is no expectation of accolades, or resentment if not received. Your giving or doing for others no longer has an umbrella of control over it. You are also no longer in a state of Self-denial, or need to be the hero, as your behavior is coming from your heart and soul, not your manipulative ego searching for love from the outside.

With the acceptance of your own unconditional-Self, this empowerment soon builds your confidence and self-esteem. You have no need to contend yourself with what love you might have missed from others in the Past. You have moved on and gotten past that, as you are no longer in fear, or lost and afraid. You are a whole, worthy person who is loved unconditionally, and loves others equally unconditionally, because you know there is no lack of love in the Universe. This also gives you Divine Power, which means positive energy to do and create anything, and everything that you want that brings joy to all.

This new awareness unsettles everything that seemed obvious before, and it awakens emotions within you that you don’t know how to deal with. When you start to doubt the benefits of ego-based patterns of thinking and doing, a whole new side of you enters your consciousness. A spontaneity of freely expressing your feelings and emotions are the entrance gate to your greater Self, or your Higher-Self. By exploring what you truly feel, instead of what you are told to feel, you restore your integrity, that part of you which is your inner child. Getting in touch with your true feelings and emotions sets you on the road to liberation from your ego, fear and negative energy.

You ask questions about the meaning of life, about good and bad, what you really feel and think, as opposed to what others have taught/told you to feel and think. These questions need to be seriously considered as they are very real to you, and they have a direct bearing on the life choices you make. You look at yourself and you think:  “Is this me? Is this what I want?” You receive glimpses of who you truly are and can be:  your uniqueness, your individuality. You are no longer dependent or restricted by anything around you:  your parents, your work, your relationships, not even your body. But this new freedom has also created confusion, doubt and disorientation which released old psychological wounds within you, which you need to heal. Since these have been buried for so long, you may not be able to cope with this pain, and concentration on loving yourSelf unconditionally becomes more important than ever. Also important, is not to blame or judge yourself for any of this pain. This may lead you to punishing yourSelf with negative patterns of behavior:  addictions, depression, uncontrollable mood swings, problems with communication, or difficulties with intimate relationships.

Self-criticism does not accomplish anything, yet many of us fall into it rather quickly once the facade has been removed of who you were for so long. While you may not like who and what you realize about yourselves, it may be difficult to stay positive through this self-revelation. So, you must keep your mantra of loving yourSelves unconditionally, and knowing that God/Source still loves you unconditionally. There is no need for regrets, as we all made mistakes or missteps in the Past, and probably will also in the future. It was never written that we had to be perfect. Remind yourself of tolerance of all things and people, and acceptance in the full meaning of unconditional – just as you are – no bells, whistles, bows or ribbons. The empowerment within you is glowing.
